The Honeybee Conservancy strives to inspire communities to plant bee habitat and act as stewards for bees. They support bee research in an effort to end bee population declines, advance science and environmental education, and support local food initiatives. With more species of bees being added to the endangered list, it’s so important to do everything we can to help out our bzzzzzing buddies!

One thing that make them unique is the protection of private lands, which makes up a surprising amount of our forests. What really inspires us is the way they work with people across the aisle to affect real change!

MountainTrue champions resilient forests, clean waters and healthy communities in Western North Carolina. MountainTrue fosters and empowers advocates throughout the region to be engaged in policy and project advocacy, outreach and education, and on the ground projects. They are one of the largest environmental protection organizations in North Carolina, orchestrating projects across 27 counties!

The Blue Ridge Conservancy works with willing landowners and local communities to permanently protect land and water resources with agricultural, ecological, cultural, recreational, and scenic value in northwest North Carolina. They contribute to a healthy and productive ecosystem to help keep North Carolina beautiful!
Conserving Carolina (formerly Carolina Mountain Land Conservancy) protects forested wilderness, working farms, clean drinking water, trout streams, wildlife habitat and sweeping views. They partner with private landowners, community visionaries, and estate management professionals, to conserve land and maximize financial benefits through the use of voluntary land protection agreements, land donations and purchases. They also raise awareness about the importance of land conservation for future generations!
